Here are some of the most delicious ways to show your appreciation for this culinary gift.
Burgers are easily one of America’s best inventions, so it makes sense that there’s a whole day dedicated to this delicious, all-encompassing meal. While the true origin of the burger is still unclear, it’s come a long way from being just a ground beef meat patty between buns. The modern-day burger is a loaded vessel featuring stacks of patties (which could also be turkey, vegan patties, or bison), lettuce, ketchup, relish, onion rings, bacon pickles, and, of course, cheese. In essence, the burger is now shaped around your personal preferences and here are some of the best places to get them in L.A.
1. HiHo
HiHo makes double-patty 100% grass-fed Wagyu beef burger that’s not overly rich, and that’s what makes it so special. The high-quality meat layered with cheese, lettuce and tangy ketchup normally explode out of the lightly toasted bun make for one delicious mess and it’s completely worth it. The company stays true to the traditional American notion of a burger, but one that is centred around one key ingredient: beautiful, marbled beef. Although, their vegan burger is worth mentioning— oh, and those gorgeous fries!
