🌿Who is The Plant Chica?
Behind The Plant Chica is Sandra Mejia, whose story is deeply rooted in family, culture, and community. Raised in South Central Los Angeles by Salvadoran immigrant parents, Sandra’s love for plants started early by helping her mother pick flowers for the church where her father served as a pastor.
Today, The Plant Chica is known for offering rare, wish-list plants with unique finds often hard to source or not typically sold in stores. Many are sourced from places that hold personal meaning from her childhood, making the business not just a shop, but a full-circle story of growth.
