The Sunset Limited runs between California and Louisiana three times a week, treating travelers to overnight accommodation and dining.

If leaving from Los Angeles, the journey takes off from Union Station, stopping in Palm Springs before heading across the border to Arizona. Other major city stops along the way include Tucson, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, Lake Charles, and New Orleans.
Travelers enjoy scenic views of the southwestern U.S. throughout the journey. The route connects three beautiful national parks: Big Bend National Park in Texas, Saguaro National Park in Arizona, and Joshua Tree National Park in California.
