Los Angeles is the “dream factory”, where major studios, massive mansions, and even bigger egos roam freely. It’s the kind of place where, whether you like it or not, you might just bump into your favorite celebrity… unless that celebrity is Ana de Armas.
The star of Hollywood’s latest high-stakes bet, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (alongside Keanu Reeves), stands out not just for her talent, charisma, and beauty, but for being one of the industry’s brightest stars who have chosen to step away from the glitz and glamour of the jet-set life.
Born in Cuba, she moved to Madrid at 18 to chase her dream of becoming an actress. She found early success with El Internado in 2008, and seven years later, she made her way to Hollywood, starting from scratch, again successfully, but always with some doubts about life in the City of Angels.
Those doubts eventually led to a permanent move away from Los Angeles, something she opened up about in 2024 during the Toronto International Film Festival: “I feel like nowadays, we all want to go away from the craziness of the world. I found a home where I really feel off the grid. I can collect myself and only bring there who I want to be with. I have my little cocoon there.”
Multiple reports say the 36-year-old now lives in a $7 million home with six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and sweeping views of mountains, forests, and open meadows.
