If you’ve ever wanted to see a synchronized swimming show inspired by old Hollywood, now’s your chance. The Aqualillies Summer Watershow returns to Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, August 9. The rooftop pool at Golden Hour at Level8 will once again become a stunning aquatic stage.
This is the only public performance Aqualillies hosts each year. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests can watch elegant routines while enjoying cocktails, music, and skyline views.
A tribute to Esther Williams
The annual show honors the birthday and legacy of Esther Williams. The Hollywood actress and competitive swimmer helped popularize synchronized swimming through her famous “aquamusical” films of the 1940s and 1950s.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2008, Aqualillies continues that tradition. The company blends elite athleticism with vintage Hollywood style. Its performers include former Olympians, U.S. National Team athletes, and nationally competitive artistic swimmers.
Aqualillies also performs at private events, films, TV shows, fashion campaigns, and music videos. Past collaborations include Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Lizzo, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, and the Coen Brothers. The Summer Watershow is the only time the public can see the group perform each year.

Your ticket supports a good cause
Attending the Summer Watershow also helps support a nonprofit organization. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Diversity in Aquatics, which works to expand access to swimming and aquatic sports.
The nonprofit promotes water safety, aquatic education, and opportunities for communities that have historically had limited access to swimming programs. By attending the event, guests can enjoy an evening of entertainment while supporting a meaningful cause.

Try synchronized swimming yourself
Want to get in the water before the show? On the morning of August 9, Aqualillies will host a public adult synchronized swimming class at Santa Monica High School. And no experience is needed. It’s a fun way to try the sport before the evening performance.
