A gorgeous ode to the South of France in Southern California.
Paring the breezy sophistication of Côte d’Azur with arresting views of the Hollywood hilltops, this new rooftop spot is a postcard for the laidback 60s glamour. Occupying the rooftop of the new Thomspon Hotel, which made its debut earlier this year, featuring two restaurants with world-renowned chefs, a luxurious rooftop pool terrace, 11 storeys of inviting designer interiors.
You’ll find a stunning central atrium with a retractable roof (so you can enjoy Mediterranean summer vibes all year long), plants cascading along the sides and an illuminated fountain at the heart of it. Take a seat in the wide wicker chairs or along the bar and sip a flute of Henriot Brut Souverain or a glass of Rosé from Côtes de Provence. If you fancy a cocktail, there are six refreshing drinks to choose from like the Jane Birkin with Sipsmith Gin, St. Germain, Cucumber, Mint, Lime or Petit Paloma with Patron Silver Tequila, chai-infused rum, grapefruit, lime, soda, and flower petal salt.
For the peckish, there’s a beautiful selection of canapés with a traditional bistro fare and infused with the seaside soul of the French coast from chef Lincoln Carson. You could complement your champagne with half a dozen Kusshi oysters in a rosé champagne mignonette sauce or have fine french fries bathed in fines herbs and aïoli.
On Thursdays from 9pm, you can enjoy an intimate soiree with local songstresses. From 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, the rooftop will have live DJ sets, channeling summer vibes. As we know, elegance is a way of being for the French and that applies to seaside rendezvous too. So dress up for the occasion and avoid causal beachwear.
