Big Bear Lake is loved by Angelenos for so many reasons, its huge, crystal-clear lake, the inflatable water park, the soaring eagles, and all the events happening year-round. It’s one of those movie-like destinations where there’s always something to do, no matter the season, snowy, warm, or anything in between.
This summer, Big Bear brings something truly special: the very first edition of a real celebration under the stars in an alpine setting like no other. SkyFest 2025 gives locals and visitors alike the chance to stargaze from 7,000 feet above sea level, in places free from light pollution! A dream come true for astronomy fans.
During the guided night hikes, you can reach the Snow Summit via the Sky Chair for panoramic views of the starry sky, followed by a peaceful walk under the stars, where you can stargaze from one of the valley’s best spots. It’s a perfect mix of light exercise and cosmic wonder.
Astrophotography workshops led by expert Brady Enger from Bending Energy Photography give attendees, from beginners to advanced photographers, tips and techniques to capture breathtaking shots of the night sky.
Forest sound baths offer a unique meditative experience, blending the natural serenity of the forest with soothing sounds to help you relax deeply and connect with nature.
The festival lasts two days, packed with activities for all interests. For details and ticket info, visit the official Big Bear Lake website. Don’t miss your chance to experience this unforgettable celebration under the stars!
