We all love Oktoberfest, and there’s just one thing that could make it even better: having it early in May. That’s exactly what happens in Big Bear Lake around this time of year, where you can welcome summer with a cold, frothy, golden beer in hand, surrounded by mountains.
This year marks the 8th Annual Big Bear Lake Maifest (Mayfest) a fun and festive event that’s basically Oktoberfest’s lively little sister, but in springtime. Think great food, music, and all the good vibes you’d expect from a classic German-style celebration.
Big Bear’s Oktoberfest spinoff, Maifest, takes place over Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25. Plus, there’s an extra special encore celebration on Saturday, May 31, for even more fun.
If you book two or more nights of lodging on BigBear.com for either Memorial Day weekend (May 23–26) or the following weekend (May 30–June 1), everyone in your group will get free general admission tickets to Maifest automatically.
If you’re planning a trip to Big Bear, this is a great way to kick off summer with some festive fun without spending extra on tickets!
