Biscuit buffs and fried chicken fans alike are rejoicing. Bojangles, the famous Southern-style fried chicken and biscuit chain, is finally heading to the West Coast, and Los Angeles County is its first stop. Plans are already underway for the very first branch to open by early 2025.
Bojangles’ Menu
If you haven’t visited the Southeast, then you might not be familiar with Bojangles. They’re most known for their biscuits and Southern-style fried chicken, with some fans even saying it’s the best fast food fried chicken they’ve ever tasted. Everyone raves about all of their all-day breakfast items. Plus, don’t forget to order their iced tea, like a true Southerner.
Origin Story
The company originated in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1977. And it has grown exponentially since that time. By franchising its branches, the company was able to open over 800 locations in the Southeast United States. Plus, it’s known as one of the “fastest-growing, quick-service chicken chains in the country.”
New Opportunities
Bojangles also plans to open 30 brand new locations in L.A. County, so the fried chicken and biscuits will be available at even more spots around California. The new franchise will be opened and operated by entrepreneur Lorenzo Boucetta and Poulet Brothers, LLC. Boucetta was specially chosen for their extensive knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry.
“From the moment I was first introduced to Bojangles, I knew immediately that this was a brand that I wanted to be a part of. The delicious chicken, biscuits, and breakfast, combined with strong unit economics and unparalleled support made the decision a no-brainer for me,” Boucetta stated in the Bojangles press release. “I’ve spent several years in hospitality and real estate development, but my roots have always been ingrained in the restaurant industry. The opportunity to grow Bojangles in California presented itself at the perfect moment, and I am thrilled to bring this iconic brand to the market for the first time.”
