The historical Burbank Museum is cleaning out its storage room this weekend, giving Angelenos a rare chance to shop through decades of antiques, dolls, clothing, furniture, books and other unexpected treasures.
For the first time in its 50-year history, the Burbank Museum is holding a special Store Room Sale on September 26 and 27. The museum is clearing out duplicate items and other relics that aren’t directly relevant to Burbank’s history — and all proceeds benefit the museum.
The Burbank Museum Store Room Sale takes place for just two days, so vintage hunters, collectors, and anyone who loves an unusual secondhand find will want to stop by while the doors are open. You never quite know what you might find!
What to expect at the Burbank Museum sale
The sale will feature an eclectic collection of items pulled directly from the museum’s storage, including:
- Antiques
- Dolls
- Vintage clothing
- Furniture
- Books
- Other miscellaneous relics and collectibles
Because the items are being cleared out of the museum’s archives, the selection is expected to be particularly varied. It’s essentially a chance to go treasure hunting through a museum’s storage room while helping support the institution itself.
And unlike a typical museum visit, you can actually take some of these pieces home.
