Calling all cat lovers! CatCon 2024 is creeping up on us and getting ready to pounce. Mark your calendars and keep an eye out for the start of ticket sales because it’s sure to sell out just as fast as their Cat Art Show did for this upcoming weekend. CatCon started in 2015 and has grown exponentially every year since. And it’s no wonder! Who doesn’t love snuggling with a crazy little cuddly kitty? (Before they chomp their adorable little teeth straight through your hand, that is.)
CatCon features all things feline. It’s an expo. It’s a symposium. It’s a cat adoption event. (You get a cat! And you get a cat!) It’s everything your cat-loving heart has ever dreamed of. Their mission is “to spread joy and goodness to cats and the people who love them.” Their many large charitable donations and over 1,025 cat adoptions over the years testifies that they’re doing just that.
CatCon 2024 is taking place Aug. 3rd and 4th, 2024 at the Pasadena Convention Center. There will be so many “celebricats” for Meet and Greets. Plus, there will be hundreds of kittens in Adoption Village just waiting to join your “furever family”. Keep checking here for more information on ticket sales because they’re sure to go quicker than a cat running towards treats. That’s exactly what happened with the tickets to the Cat Art Show happening this weekend. Sadly, we can’t check it out in person this time, but here’s all the information to entice you to plan ahead for next year.
Have you ever gone to an art exhibition and thought that this art needs more cats? If so, you’re in luck. The Cat Art Show will fulfill all of your art and cat wishes with the most unique art show in Los Angeles County. The 10th anniversary of the Cat Art Show is this weekend from Friday, January 19th – Sunday, January 21st at the Wallis Annenberg Petspace.
Maybe you need new art for your walls, or maybe you just want to be surrounded by fellow feline-loving friends, either way this event fits the bill. There are over 60 pieces of artwork to gaze upon, and all of the amazing artwork is for sale. It can be picked up or shipped home straight to you at the end of the exhibition.
Plus, there’s even better news for all cat lovers. Ten percent of all art sales goes towards The Annenberg PetSpace Extraordinary Care Fund. This amazing fund works on behalf of high risk animals in our community who face significant barriers to adoption. They treat animals from California shelters and rescues who need more advanced medical care in order to be adoptable. So not only are you buying beautiful art, you’re supporting your local furry friends.
Sadly, you can’t bring your kitty cat friend to either of these events for the safety of guests and our feline friends. However, there will be plenty of new cats and cat-loving friends to meet there because CatCon is making it cool to be a “crazy cat lady”. Don’t miss your chance to immerse yourself in the biggest pop culture cat event in the world!
