The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is set to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman with a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And the city is turning out in full force to honor him. Chadwick Boseman, actor, artist, and cultural icon, will be honored posthumously in the Motion Pictures category. Chadwick’s wife, Simone Ledward-Boseman, who will accept the honor on his behalf.

The ceremony will feature Steve Nissen, President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, as emcee, with guest speakers Ryan Coogler, Viola Davis, and Chadwick’s wife, Simone Ledward-Boseman. The event will commemorate the 2,828th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11:30 AM in front of the Hollywood Experience. ⭐About Chadwick Boseman
Born in South Carolina, Chadwick Boseman became known for bringing history’s greatest figures to life, including Jackie Robinson in 42, James Brown in Get On Up, and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall. He achieved global stardom as King T’Challa / Black Panther, a role that broke box office records and earned Marvel its first Best Picture Oscar nomination.
Boseman continued to shine in 21 Bridges, Da 5 Bloods, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, earning posthumous awards and an Academy Award nomination. Off-screen, he championed Black artists through the Chadwick Boseman Foundation for the Arts and inspired future creatives with the $5.4 million Chadwick A. Boseman Memorial Scholarship at Howard University. Chadwick Boseman passed away on August 28, 2020, but his legacy endures on film, in culture, and now on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
