Grammy and Golden Globe nominee Charlie Puth is pivoting from pop for a jazz residency at the freshly minted Blue Note Jazz Club in Los Angeles.
The “We Don’t Talk Anymore” singer just announced 16 residency shows in New York City and Los Angeles, beginning on September 25. According to a press release, “the Berklee classical and jazz trained Puth will perform an early evening and nighttime show at the legendary space with very special friends and guests, ensuring this intimate run to become a truly memorable one for the books.”
A staple in NYC, the Blue Note Jazz Club just opened in Hollywood on August 14. The venue features a 200-seat main showroom, plus a 100-seat “B-Side” room for intimate performances. Robert Glasper, Esperanze Spalding, Andra Day, Killer Mike, and more are just a few of the names on the grand opening roster. Shows typically feature a full-service kitchen and bar, weekend brunch and dinner service, and a menu curated by Chef Asaf Maoz.
