Don your Dirndl or Lederhosen and get ready for an epic beer-fuelled celebrationGet your tickets here.
Angelenos will get a taste of the world’s largest “Volksfest” (beer festival) in Germany with L.A.’s premier Oktoberfest experience, taking over The Greens at Rose Bowl Stadium on October 16. Craftoberfest will turn the Brookside Golf Course into an enormous celebration of brew, buzzing with Bavarian spirit, endless pours from over 20 SoCal breweries, giant pretzels, Bratwurst and live music.
There’s no denying that 2020 left a keg-size void in our lives, where breweries were accessible through pick-ups and limited us to a virtual “cheers!” at Zoom-fests. But this raucous event promises to deliver barrels of fun where you can sip on carefully curated beers from the likes of Paperback Brewing, Hofbrau, Three Weavers, Trustworthy Brewing, The Bruery and many more.
Once you step onto The Greens at the Rose Bowl Stadium, you’ll immediately be transported to Munich. You’ll join fellow lederhosen-clad revelers under the sun and merrily weave between the tents and guzzle as many steins as you can handle—and it’s all included in your ticket. There’ll also be non-alcoholic options, in case you’re just coming for the costumes, food and culture.
Speaking of delicious bites, you can peruse the plethora of vendors offering traditional and fan-favorite fare influenced by this internationally-loved holiday. Just make sure you don’t leave without trying the freshly made pretzels and Bratwursts loaded with sauerkraut.
To ensure you’re getting an authentic experience, the organizers have called upon “The host with the most PROST,” Festmeister Hans to entertain you with his singing and antics. He’ll be backed by a trio of polka-playing musicians to bring you German traditional music with a few other genres thrown in the mix.
