Forget awkwardly sneaking around in your underwear at home. This February, you’re invited to proudly rock your skivvies in public for a “brief” mile(ish)-long fun run that’s part party, part fundraiser, and fully unforgettable. This year’s Cupid’s Undie Run takes over The Virgil in Santa Monica on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Expect music, drinks, and a high-energy crowd before hitting the streets for the run at 2 pm.
Why Everyone’s Running In Their Undies
Every February, thousands of participants across the country strip down to support research for neurofibromatosis (NF)—a rare genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves and affects about 1 in every 3,000 births.
The idea is simple – show solidarity by stepping out of your comfort zone, just like those living with NF do every day.
How It All Started
The movement began back in 2010 when a group of do-gooders in Washington, D.C. braved the cold, dropped their pants, and took off running to raise money for tumor research. Their bold, playful act turned into a nationwide tradition, and eventually a full-fledged nonprofit dedicated to funding NF research and awareness.
Not Feeling The Undies? Get Creative Instead
If stripping down isn’t your thing, opt-in to wearing a fun costume and/or creative outfit instead.
If baring it all isn’t your vibe, costumes and creative outfits are more than welcome! Whether you’re running solo, rallying up a group, or joining a group of like-minded Angelenos just like you, get ready to have fun and help make a change! After the brief run, get ready to dance your metaphorical pants off.
Once the run wraps, the real party begins. Head back to The Virgil for an epic after-party complete with drinks and high-energy vibes where you can dance your metaphorical pants off.
