It may still be summer across Southern California, but Disneyland Resort is already preparing for one of its most beloved seasonal celebrations. Halloween Time returns August 21 through October 31, 2026, bringing pumpkins, Disney Villains, festive entertainment, and seasonal treats to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
From the giant Mickey Pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A. to nighttime spectaculars and fan-favorite attraction overlays, there’s plenty to experience this fall.
Plus, this year’s celebration also overlaps with the resort’s 70th Anniversary festivities, giving guests even more reasons to visit during the fall season.
Here’s what to expect during Halloween Time 2026
Disneyland Park
Halloween favorites return throughout the park, where pumpkins, fall bunting, and seasonal decorations line Main Street, U.S.A.
- 🎃 Haunted Mansion Holiday – Jack Skellington and the residents of Halloween Town once again transform the Haunted Mansion into the beloved holiday crossover inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.
- 🎆 Halloween Screams – This nighttime spectacular returns on select evenings with Disney Villains, eerie projections, special effects, and fireworks on select nights, all hosted by Jack Skellington.
- 🎃 Main Street, U.S.A. – Guests can stroll beneath hundreds of pumpkins and seasonal decorations, including the famous giant Mickey Pumpkin that has become a Halloween photo tradition.
- 🍬 Seasonal Food & Merchandise – Limited-time treats, Halloween-inspired snacks, collectible merchandise, and festive character costumes return throughout the season.
Disney California Adventure
Across the Esplanade, Disney California Adventure celebrates with returning favorites and a brand-new entertainment offering.
- 👻 Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark – After sunset, Mission: BREAKOUT! transforms into its Halloween version as Rocket races to rescue Groot from creatures loose inside the Collector’s Fortress.
- 🪦 NEW: Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party – Debuting in 2026, this all-new entertainment experience invites guests to a spirited street party hosted by the legendary Madame Leota, featuring music, dancing, and ghostly surprises inspired by the Haunted Mansion.
- 🌼 Plaza de la Familia (August 21–November 2) – Inspired by Pixar’s Coco, this celebration honors Día de los Muertos with live mariachi performances, cultural entertainment, specialty cuisine, family activities, and beautiful remembrance displays.
Oogie Boogie Bash returns
One of Disney’s most sought-after seasonal events, Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, takes place on 33 select nights from August 18 through October 31, 2026.
The separately ticketed event features:

- Immersive trick-or-treat trails
- Rare Disney character encounters
- Exclusive entertainment
- Halloween-themed food and beverages
- Shorter attraction wait times during the event
Planning your spooky visit
Halloween Time runs daily from August 21 through October 31, 2026, and it’s included with regular Disneyland theme park admission. Guests planning to attend Oogie Boogie Bash will need a separate event ticket, and standard theme park reservations are still required where applicable.
With returning favorites like Haunted Mansion Holiday and Halloween Screams, the debut of Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake, and the return of Plaza de la Familia and Oogie Boogie Bash, Disneyland Resort’s fall celebration once again promises more than two months of spooky fun for guests of all ages.
