Los Angeles is once again bathed in Dodger blue. For the second straight year, the team has captured the World Series title, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays in a thrilling seven-game matchup that ended with an 11th-inning homer by Will Smith.
This back-to-back championship marks a milestone in franchise history: the first time the Dodgers have ever won consecutive World Series titles since moving to Los Angeles, and the first repeat by any National League team in 25 years!
To celebrate this massive success, the city showed up once again with an equally massive attendance to the parade that, while it started at 11am, gathered thousands of fans at midnight to secure a spot as closer to the boys in blue as possible, with lawn chairs, Dodger blankets and sweaters.
The parade started at the Dodgers Stadium and made its way to DTLA in a 1.7 miles long route, and back again to the stadium. The streets were packed with attendees from all over California, creating a shower of blue confetti, just like in 2024 when 250,000 people turned out, according to MLB data.
The parade celebrates more than a championship, this back-to-back title only strengthens that bond, reminding Angelenos that the Dodgers are as woven into the fabric of the city as its skyline and sunsets.
