The Blue Note is now fully operational in Hollywood, featuring a 200-seat main showroom plus a 100-seat “B-Side” room for more intimate performances. Shows throughout the opening season typically include two sets per night (7 PM and 9:30 PM) with a full-service kitchen and bar, weekend brunch and dinner service, and a menu curated by Chef Asaf Maoz.
Blue Note opens its doors on this Thursday, August 14, 2025, with a grand inaugural night headlined by Grammy-winning pianist Robert Glasper. Joining him on the roster are bass virtuoso and multiple-Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding, hip-hop powerhouse Killer Mike, and soulful songstress Andra Day. Downtown Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo neighborhood just got its own Farmers’ Market! The new farmers’ market is a collaboration between the JACCC and Food Access LA, whose mission is to build “sustainable food systems that promote social and cultural activities benefiting low-to-moderate income residents of Los Angeles while also supporting California small- and mid-sized farms and local small businesses.” The market is open to the public and runs every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm. Castaic Lake, Los Angeles County’s largest reservoir, has officially opened for the 2025 summer season, offering a variety of outdoor activities just a 30-40 minute drive from downtown L.A. The Upper Lake caters to power boating, jet skiing, wakeboarding, and sailing, while the Lower Lake is ideal for non-motorized activities like kayaking and paddleboarding.
