The Elf on the Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey is stopping off in L.A. for 8 weeks!
For those of you that aren’t familiar with the ubiquitous Christmas tradition, The Elf on the Shelf is a book and an accompanying little red-suited elf doll that acts as Santa’s eyes on the ground. As the name implies, they’ll be placed on a shelf, often getting up to holiday shenanigans while monitoring who’s been naughty or nice. The elf will make a daily roundtrip to the North Pole to report back, returning to a new spot by the next day. This year, instead of inviting the hat-bearing Christmas crew to perch on every other ledge in your living room, they’ll be stopping off at Pomona’s Fairplex and inviting you to a life-size wonderland drive-thru. The Elf on the Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey drive-thru will be an hour-long car-based adventure through a gingerbread village, twinkling seasonal scenery (designed by Broadway’s David Korins), toy workshops, “Santa’s magical grotto,” and more! Visitors will “shrink” to fit into the Scout Elves’ world and rove through this magical Christmas world and join a mission to fix Santa’s sleigh. There’ll also be a drive-thru gift shop to browse at the end and an option to donate unwrapped toys to Toys for Tots and Children’s Hospital L.A.
From November 12 through January 3, the Scout Elves will be sledding into L.A. County, bringing you “elf-tacular acts of cheer” and limitless seasonal spirit in a way that only elves can. Tickets go on sale on September 22 at 11 am PST, so you’ll want to sign up for updates and reminders here.
