In 2026, both adrenaline seekers and film buffs will have a new reason to visit Universal Studios Hollywood—The park is set to debut its first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster, ‘Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift.’ Drawing inspiration from the “Fast & Furious” franchise, known for its thrilling high-speed chases and the powerful theme of chosen family since its debut in 2001, the ride promises to bring the cinematic excitement to life.
Set to be located on the Upper Lot, ‘Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift‘ will immerse guests from the moment they line up for this attraction. The line will form inside a large, red brick, garage-style structure. Riders will then buckle into vehicles modeled after several iconic cars from the films, launching along an aerial track that swoops over parts of the theme park.
The new roller coaster will become a marquee ride alongside the theme park’s signature Studio Tour attraction, celebrating 60 years of moviemaking magic. Although the final design may vary, Amusement Insider has created a simulation video on YouTube based on the released plans:
