What is Fiesta Hermosa?
For 53 years, this massive beachside takeover has been a SoCal staple. Originally launched in the 1970s as Fiesta de las Artes, it has evolved into one of the most beloved arts and crafts festivals on the coast. Every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend, Downtown Hermosa Beach shuts down its main streets to celebrate artisan culture. Today, the festival features a highly curated street fair footprint that champions neighborhood businesses, homegrown artists, and that unmistakable, laid-back Hermosa charm.
What to do at the Fiesta Hermosa
This three-day festival packs in enough entertainment to keep you busy all weekend. To start, weave your way through the Makers Mercado, an expansive outdoor market featuring over 250 artists, makers, and vendors selling unique art, jewelry, and clothing. When you need to refuel, the massive Food Fair offers a wide variety of food and beverage vendors to satisfy any craving. If you are with your kids, the Mini Carnival is completely dedicated to family-friendly activities, rides, and games.
Music lovers have two massive hubs to choose from. Right at the base of the Hermosa Beach Pier, you’ll find the Love Local Stage. For the 21-and-over crowd, The Garden is the ultimate festival oasis. You can grab a craft beverage, play some yard games, or snag a spot in the new reserved seating area. The Garden also hosts the festival’s heavy-hitting live music lineup:
