If you’re a fan of HBO’s lavish period dramas, one of its most acclaimed series is about to get a very different kind of makeover. The Gilded Age is coming to life in flowers for a limited run at one of Beverly Hills’ most iconic estates, with the historic Greystone Mansion & Gardens set to become a floral version of New York high society.
Fleurs de Villes THE GILDED AGE will bring more than 15 one-of-a-kind floral mannequins to the estate, with local floral artists reimagining the show’s characters, costumes and extravagant style entirely from fresh blooms.
What to expect at Fleurs de Villes THE GILDED AGE

From October 28 through November 4, the exhibition will turn Greystone into a flower-filled celebration of The Gilded Age, with each mannequin offering a different interpretation of the series’ characters and fashion. Designs include floral takes on Bertha Russell’s ambitious gowns, Agnes van Rhijn’s refined style, Marian Brook’s understated elegance and Peggy Scott’s more modern perspective.
You’ll also be able to vote for your favorite floral mannequin, watch live demonstrations from Beverly Hills floral designers and explore the historic estate while the installation is on display.

Greystone Mansion and Gardens
And the setting is almost as much of a draw as the flowers. Greystone Mansion was completed in 1928 and sits on 18.3 acres, with 55 rooms and 46,000 square feet of space. The former Doheny estate is now a Beverly Hills historic landmark and has appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows.
The Gilded Age is heading into its fourth season
Created by Julian Fellowes, The Gilded Age follows the social battles between New York’s established old-money families and ambitious newcomers during the 1880s. The series has become particularly known for its elaborate period costumes, lavish sets, and sprawling ensemble cast.

The show has already earned 15 Emmy nominations and one win, taking home the 2022 award for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program. Its third season earned another eight nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Lead Actress for Carrie Coon.
Now, with Season 4 premiering November 1, the timing of this floral tribute is rather perfect: you can step into The Gilded Age in full bloom at Greystone, then go home and continue the drama on screen.
