A new outdoor theater experience is headed to parks in Altadena and Pasadena – and it’s free for families!
Pasadena Playhouse has announced its production of The Lizard & El Sol, a 20 – 25 minute show for the community. According to a press release, the bilingual story “follows a small but fearless lizard on a quest to bring back the missing sun.”
The show will feature live music, bold visuals, “and a heartwarming message about perseverance and community.” The family-friendly show will be hosted in local parks is specifically designed to introduce kids from the age of 0-5 to the magic of live theatre, and will also feature interactive activities, live music, and arts and crafts. Families are also encouraged to bring picnic blankets and snacks.
The play is primarily in Spanish, but Pasadena Playhouse points out that it’s designed to be enjoyed and understood by Spanish and non-Spanish speakers.
