Free live music is returning to the Getty Center this August with the beloved Garden Concerts for Kids series. Held in the museum’s beautiful Central Garden, the annual event features award-winning children’s musicians from across the country performing lively, interactive concerts for families.
The series runs every Saturday and Sunday from August 1 through August 16 at 4 p.m. Each weekend brings a different artist, with performances that blend music, storytelling, and plenty of opportunities for kids to sing, dance, and join in the fun.

This year’s lineup features Grammy-winning performers, bilingual musicians, and celebrated folk artists.
Dan + Claudia Zanes with Tyree Austin
August 1 & 2 at 4 p.m.
The series begins with Grammy Award-winning musician Dan Zanes, Haitian-American jazz vocalist and music therapist Claudia Zanes, and gospel singer Tyree Austin.
Their joyful performances combine folk, jazz, gospel, and roots music with rich vocal harmonies and an array of instruments, including 12-string guitar, flute, trombone, saxophone, percussion, and beatboxing. Families are invited to dance, sing along, or simply enjoy the uplifting atmosphere.
Flor Bromley
August 8 & 9 at 4 p.m.
Grammy and Latin Grammy-nominated artist Flor Bromley takes the stage for a vibrant bilingual performance inspired by her Peruvian roots.
Her concerts mix global rhythms, storytelling, theater, and puppetry to celebrate Latin culture while encouraging children to explore music, creativity, and imagination together.
Elizabeth Mitchell
August 15 & 16 at 4 p.m.
The series concludes with a special anniversary performance by two-time Grammy nominee Elizabeth Mitchell, celebrating 20 years of her acclaimed album You Are My Little Bird.
Joined by her husband and longtime collaborator Daniel Littleton and daughter Storey, Mitchell will perform timeless folk songs and melodies from around the world in a heartfelt concert designed for audiences of all ages.

Garden Concerts for Kids are free with Getty Center admission, though advance reservations to visit the museum are required.
Visitors can spend the afternoon exploring the Getty’s galleries and gardens before settling in for an outdoor concert surrounded by one of Los Angeles’ most beautiful landscapes.
