R.H. West Hollywood is a three-story interior design gallery housing exquisite art installations, beautiful furniture, and other interior furnishings fit for a Malibu mansion. It also happens to be crowned with a serene garden that offers a perfect escape from the flurry of Melrose Avenue. After browsing designer lamps, running your hand over Belgium linen sofas and picking out artwork for your dream beach house, you can retreat to The Gallery on the roof for a little retail recess.
This sanctuary is modeled on Jardin Des Tuileries, the picturesque garden in France that captures the essence of the Parisian vision. Of course, this is a more scaled-down version, but no less symmetrical or soothing. It features a bluestone promenade lined with century-old trees and blooms, rows of glowing chandeliers, and even a small fountain where you can relax and take in the landscaped surroundings.
Although it’s effectively an elaborate showcase of R.H.’s outdoor collection, the jaw-dropping view of Hollywood Hills is best admired while lounging on a sofa and framed with a cabana draped with sensual textiles. Equally, the meticulously curated furniture and decor become more tempting with an L.A. sunset and flickering lanterns as a backdrop.
If you’re not currently in the market for a designer lounge set or hand-spun Tibetan wool rug, you’re still welcome to head up to this public garden space and dream a little.
