The legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles has once again been honored as the Outdoor Concert Venue of the Year at the 36th annual Pollstar Awards. This marks the 18th time the beloved amphitheater has received the accolade.
In 2021, it was also celebrated with Pollstar’s Amphitheater of the Decade award. The Hollywood Bowl was presented with the honor Red Rocks Award — Outdoor Concert Venue of the Year during a ceremony held Wednesday at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
L.A. Wins Big
The famous concert venue wasn’t the only L.A.-based venue to win big in the Pollster Awards this year. SoFi Stadium was awarded Stadium of the Year (U.S. only). And Intuit Dome was awarded New Concert Venue of the Year (North America).
Musical Extravaganzas
Renowned for its stunning backdrop and diverse musical lineup, the Hollywood Bowl has been a beloved concert venue for Angelenos for many years. It has served as the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 1922. And every year the summer concert lineup gets better and better.
Last year, the Hollywood Bowl hosted over 100 concerts during its 2024 season, including Bob Dylan, Beck, Noah Kahan, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, James Taylor, and Imagine Dragons. And this year’s lineup promises to be even better with performances by Hugh Jackman, Juanes, Cyndi Lauper, and Diana Ross. Plus, Cynthia Erivo will be playing Jesus himself in Jesus Christ Superstar! It promises to be a magical musical summer season.
