Karol G’s career from Colombia’s El Factor X to global stages is a striking trajectory that really shows how Latin artists are reshaping the music landscape. In just a few years, she’s collected one Grammy, six Latin Grammy awards and five Billboard Music Awards, taking her influence to some of the most iconic venues in the world.
On September 13, 2025 she’ll perform at St. Peter’s Square for the Vatican’s first public concert. And just months later, she might headline Coachella 2026 alongside Sabrina Carpenter if reports are true.
Vatican performance: ‘Grace for the World’ concert
This weekend, on September 13, 2o25 at 3pm ET, Karol G will join a once-in-a-generation concert in St. Peter’s Square in celebration of the third edition of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity. Co-directed by Pharrell Williams and Andrea Bocelli, the free public event will bring together voices from around the globe, including John Legend, Jennifer Hudson and Angélique Kidjo, for an evening of unity and brotherhood.
The Latin star is believed to perform a stirring rendition of her life-affirming song “Milagros” and possibly a duet with the Italian tenor of “Vivo per Lei”. Accompanying the artists will be a drone light display inspired by the Sistine Chapel by Nova Sky Stories. This unique event will reach audiences far beyond the Vatican as it will be streamed worldwide on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News Live. Sign up here to secure the streaming link.
Coachella 2026: A headliner in the making?
Karol G is one of the artists rumored to headline next year’s Coachella festival, according to a report by Rolling Stone, alongside pop star Sabrina Carpenter. The Colombian artist has not yet announced a tour after the release of her latest album TROPICOQUETA in June so fans are speculating that something big is coming.
Karol G has already made history as Lollapalooza Chicago’s first Latina headliner in 2023 but to this day, no Latina artist has ever lead Coachella’s lineup. Goldenvoice has yet to announce next year’s lineup so there is still no official confirmation by the promoters. Coachella 2026 will take place on April 10 through 12 and April 17 through 19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA.
