Brace yourselves, skincare lovers! A Korean beauty brand giant is headed to the U.S. for the first time to shake up the industry – and its debut stores will open right here in sunny Los Angeles.
Olive Young is scheduled to open its first American locations in May 2026.
What is Olive Young?
According to Business of Beauty, Olive Young is South Korea’s “top beauty shopping destination” and beat out all of their industry competitors, including Ulta and Sephora, which pulled out of the country completely in 2024.
What does Olive Young carry?
The brand carries health, beauty, skincare, hair care, and wellness products, including popular Korean brands. A rapid response to trends and price competitiveness has reportedly led to their huge success in Korea – but will it transfer in the States? Only time will tell – but K-beauty has certainly built up a global following.
We don’t know what the stores will look like just yet, but Korean locations include skincare consultation zones. Olive Young previewed some of the brands they’ll be carrying at KCON in Los Angeles in August 2025.
Where are the L.A. locations?
The two new locations are set for Pasenda’s Old Town and Westfield Century City. The Pasadena location will be the first in North America, closely followed by the Century City location later in the month.
