The 2024 U.S. Coffee Championships were recently held in Rancho Cucamonga, and the new reigning champ is from right here in L.A. Frank La of Be Bright Coffee is the new 2024 U.S. Barista Champion. And as the winner of the U.S. Barista Championship, he went on to represent the U.S. and earn the title of champion and national ambassador in the World Barista Championship held this past May in Busan, South Korea.
Frank is now offering an exciting new coffee tasting experience every Saturday in July. You’ll enjoy 5 different incredible beverages handcrafted by Be Bright owner, Frank La. These exceptional drinks are the ones that secured first place for Frank in the 2024 U.S. Barista Championship.
Four seatings will be available three times a day on July 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. You can choose from 11 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2 PM. Each tasting experience is priced at $95 per person. The menu includes Pour Over, Extract Chilled Espresso, Lactose-Free Freeze Distilled Evaporated Cappuccino, Kodawari Signature Beverage, and Cold Brew. Additionally, each guest will receive a 30g dose of the competition beans, an Ombligon variety from Huila, Colombia, to take home.
According to Be Bright Coffee, “Guests will be able to experience the Ombligon as a pour over, espresso, and cold brew. For the signature beverage, we see the flavors of the espresso transform to notes of finger-lime, white grapefruit, and ginger ale from using ingredients like a clarified coffee milk punch, red seedless grape ‘cheong’, and Ombligon coffee sacrum.”
