The Billboard Creative (TBC) is turning the streets of Los Angeles into an open-air gallery by transforming empty billboard spaces into striking public art installations. Championing both rising talents and seasoned artists, TBC brings bold, thought-provoking works to the city skyline. By reclaiming commercial billboards as artistic canvases, they’re making art accessible to everyone, one billboard at a time.
Now in its 11th year, The Billboard Creative stands as one of the longest-running public art projects in the U.S., transforming billboards into accessible works that inspire across the city. By creating unconventional art spaces beyond traditional museums and galleries, TBC is reshaping how we experience art. They “advocate for the essential role of art in community well-being, turning everyday spaces into public galleries and promoting unrestricted access to art as a fundamental right not a privilege.”
“Art should be for everyone, not just for those who seek it out in galleries and museums,” said Adam Santelli, founder of The Billboard Creative. “This exhibition allows us to bring thought provoking, beautiful, and challenging works to the streets, where they can be experienced by a broad and diverse audience.”
This year’s show features 30 billboards across Los Angeles and will showcase works from a diverse selection of international painters, photographers, sculptors, and mixed-media artists. The special billboards will be on display around L.A. from May through June. Art lovers can explore the full exhibition using the 2025 Map here, which highlights each artwork’s location and offers a brief description of every piece.
