This June, Pride celebrations are expanding beyond parades and city streets and heading into neighborhood parks across Los Angeles County. The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation is launching Pride at the Park, a month-long series of free events happening at 59 park locations from June 1 through June 30.
Designed to celebrate community, inclusion, and connection, the program will transform parks across the county into spaces for celebration, learning, wellness, and family-friendly fun.
Expect festivals, performances, wellness activities, & more
No two events will look exactly the same. Participating parks will host a wide range of activities throughout the month, including:
- Mini Pride festivals
- Live performances and entertainment
- LGBTQIA+ history and educational programming
- Health and wellness experiences
- Arts and crafts activities
- Recreation and community events
- Family-friendly programming
Because offerings vary by location, visitors can expect unique experiences depending on which park they attend.
Pride meets the outdoors this year too
For those looking to celebrate Pride surrounded by nature, LA County Parks’ Natural Areas Division is also joining the festivities.
From June 6 through June 28, nature centers and natural areas throughout the county will host outdoor-focused Pride programming featuring guided hikes, wellness activities, community booths, and opportunities to connect with nature while celebrating inclusion and belonging.
Creating spaces where everyone belongs
“Parks are places where communities come together, and Pride at the Park reflects our commitment to ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and represented in those spaces,” said Norma E. García-González, Director of LA County Parks. “Through these events, we celebrate the richness of Los Angeles County’s LGBTQIA+ community and create opportunities for residents of all ages to connect, learn, and enjoy meaningful experiences together.”
The initiative was developed in partnership with the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and local LGBTQIA+ organizations with the goal of creating welcoming experiences for residents of all ages.
How to attend Pride at the Park
Pride at the Park events will run from June 1–30, 2026 and are completely free to attend.
