This Saturday, May 17th, 2025, Metro will officially open the new 5.5-mile Rail to Rail path between Inglewood and Florence-Graham. Next, we’re looking forward to the opening of the L.A. River Path, a new 8-mile pedestrian and bike path along the Los Angeles River in DTLA between Elysian Valley and Maywood. While the opening date is still TBA, Metro is hosting community meetings for the project this summer.
By providing grants to cities in L.A. County, Los Angeles Metro plays a major role in developing new local bike infrastructure. Cyclists can currently enjoy 1,935 miles of bike lanes in L.A. County.
