“City of stars, are you shining just for me?” Sebastian wonders in the now-legendary La La Land, in a song that blends the uncertainty and hope of making it in the entertainment industry… That movie perfectly captures this inseparable piece of local culture, and it’s none other than Hollywood.
From cemeteries to wax museums, the City of Angels has a deep connection with celebrities, reflected in countless tourist attractions. But one of them (perhaps the most famous after the Hollywood Sign) is notorious for all the wrong reasons.
According to a recent study published by luggage storage company Stasher, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is considered the worst tourist attraction on the planet. The conclusion comes from an analysis of thousands of data points, looking at key factors like Google Reviews ratings, TikTok engagement, airport accessibility, country safety, and local accommodation quality.

The Walk of Fame scored just 2.67/10, taking the gold on the tourist trap podium, mainly due to its difficult access, 27 miles from LAX, and its low safety rating. Created in 1958, today it features over 2,700 stars stretching across 1.3 miles of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street.
While, yes, it might not be the greatest attraction in town, it’s still a snapshot of the golden age of cinema. Still, if you’re looking for more enjoyable places to explore, it’s always a good idea to check out the nearby TCL Chinese Theatre, the Dolby Theatre, or take a studio tour to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the entertainment industry.
