London’s acclaimed holiday display ‘Lightscape’ turned every inch of the expansive L.A. Arboretum into a sea of glimmering lights last year, and it will be back and even brighter this year. Visitors will enter through a twinkling Winter Cathedral and journey along more than over a mile of pathways filled with multi-colored, glowing trees and a dozen large-scale installations that explore light in all shapes and forms., all accompanied by charming themed sounds. You’ll be immersed in a kaleidoscope of color that brings the flora to life at night in the most dazzling way.
Tickets are available online and it will be running from November 11 through January 8 with timed sessions running from 5:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
While there are plenty of holiday lighting displays happening around the city, Lightscape is a departure from the typical showering of red, gold and green. Here, you’ll find a field of tiny glowing bulbs peeping out of the lawns, giant lilies floating on the water in front of the Queen Ann Cottage, disco mannequins, a garden with flaming metal bulbs and even a projected Walk of Fame. It’s filled with surprising delights, great sounds, and vivid sights that are completely unforgettable.
You’ll also be able to fill up on festive fare, which includes the option of toasting S’mores around an open fire.
