Finally, two more 2028 Olympic events will not take place in or near L.A. at all — in fact, they’ll be 1,327 miles away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. OKC’s state-of-the-art McClendon Whitewater Center will be the site of the canoe slalom event, as there is no canoe slalom venue anywhere in the western United States. OKC will also host softball, because their 13,000-seat Devon Park is more equipped to handle the influx of Olympic fans—in the L.A. area, there is no softball venue with more than 2,000 seats.
