All this rainy weather makes for a beautiful Spring surprise!
Whether you’re looking to snap a new profile pic or fit in some much needed time with Mother Nature herself, it’s looking like L.A. is going to receive a colorful makeover. Thanks to a rather unusual wet winter, the city has an eyepopping green coat, come springtime we can expect a full bloom of flowers at some of L.A.’s most beloved parks. Though they’re not exactly predictable a handful of nearby parks are expecting a “super bloom,” which is essentially a carpet of vibrant flowers. We’ve gathered a list of the best places to see wildflower blooms in LA so that all your floral dreams can become a reality!
1. Palos Verdes Peninsula
Because of its coastal location, wildflowers bloom year-round but the grounds reach its peak during March and April. After posting onto your feed, head over to the beach while you’re in the area!
2. Point Mugu State Park
You’bound to find the wildflower you’re looking for here. With over 900 native plants that grown in the area, the search may not be easy but it will definitely be worth it!
3. Malibu Creek State Park
Malibu took a pretty hard hit during the Woosley fires last fall, but thanks to all the rainfall recently, some areas have begun to get some color back. Things are looking pretty good too – the region has a big chance of receiving a miracle superbloom!
4. Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve
Head over to see the state flower in style! Poppies are already so vibrant and beautiful, so imagine how amazing they look blanketing the grassy hills. Peak poppy season is in late March and April, so if you want to catch the flowers in thier prime you may want to arrive sooner than later.
