This year, they’re celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks going off at 9 p.m. and then again at 11:59 p.m. near Burton Chace Park. You can join the park’s family-friendly Glow Party starting at 7 p.m. with live DJ’s, face painting, food trucks, and more! 2. Universal Studios Hollywood
What better way to say goodbye to 2023 than with your favorite cinematic characters? At Universal Studios Hollywood, you’ll be able to go on all the fantastic rides during the day and ring in the New Year with some fireworks at midnight. You can really find any spot in Downtown Long Beach to catch their waterfront fireworks show on New Year’s Eve. To get yourself the best view, park yourself near the water. 6. Knott’s Berry Farm
Knott’s Berry Farm is turning their theme park into the ultimate New Year’s Eve party. In honor of 2024, they are extending their hours with an early opening at 9 a.m. on December 31, 2023, to 1 a.m. on January 1, 2024. The night is going to be full of spectacular events like music by DJ HowLy, photo ops with beloved PEANUTS characters, holiday shows like Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas, a delicious NYE buffet, a countdown to midnight capped off with fireworks, and so much more! 7. Baldwin Scenic Overlook AKA Culver City Stairs
Start the New Year on the right foot with a workout. The Culver City Stairs are a local go-to for a free hike, but it also offers some great views. Winter Fest OC is the largest winter festival in Southern California, welcoming visitors into an immersive holiday landscape with an ice trail, snow tubing, and thrilling carnival rides.
