L.A. Shelters Are Cutting Adoption Fees In Half For Thanksgiving Weekend

This is your chance to give a furry friend a home to be thankful for! 🐶🐱

The Los Angeles Department of Animal Services is cutting all adoptions fees this Thanksgiving weekend. All six of the shelters locations are participating in the holiday extravaganza to get these little babies a safe home just in time for the holidays. Take a look at the addresses here!

Stop by the agency’s Chatsworth, Van Nuys, Lincoln Heights, South L.A., San Pedro, and Sawtelle shelters Friday through Sunday to pick out your new bestie! Adoptions fees for cats will be waived if your pockets are tight, however, the discounted adoption fees are as follows:

  • Dogs (over 4 months old) – $51.00
  • Puppies (under 4 months old) – $75.00
  • Cats (over 4 months old) – $0.00
  • Kittens (under 4 months old) – $25.00

The fees cover vaccination, spay or neuter surgery as well as microchipping. L.A. city residents have to pay an additional $20 license fee for dogs (but it’s so worth it because… puppies!)

Race you there!
