While the pandemic made all of us miss Los Angeles bars and cocktail lounges, more and more young people are trying to reduce their alcohol consumption. This survey showed that 49% of Millennials and 61% of Gen Z are trying to drink less in 2024.
Luckily, there is an increasing number of spots in L.A. serving alcohol-free drinks to accommodate this growing population. These are some of our favorite non-alcoholic bars in Los Angeles, as well as spots that have both alcoholic and alcohol-free options.
Secret Los Angeles relies on the team’s personal experiences, recommendations, editorial reviews, and customer feedback before choosing our favorite places to grab a bite or sip cocktails in LA. This list is constantly evolving, so please check back regularly.
Please note that “non-alcoholic” refers to businesses that serve drinks that may have some trace amounts of alcohol in them, but will not get you intoxicated. “Alcohol-free” refers to businesses that serve absolutely no alcohol—even trace amounts.
1. Free Spirited (completely alcohol-free)

The logo of Free Spirited is a Phoenix, which is beautifully symbolic as the alcohol-free cocktail bar was born out of a nearly-fatal drunk driving incident that co-owner Amber Pennington was the victim of. She and her husband, Arleo De Guzman, have harnessed their veteran experience in the “traditional” bartending space to create this charming space that has regular events, karaoke, games, a gluten-free menu, and delicious alcohol-free craft cocktails.

2. Bar Nuda (completely non-alcoholic)

Bar Nuda is unlike any of the other spots on this list in that it doesn’t have a permanent location. It’s a “roaming party” that pops up at various venues and events, supplying mouth-watering alcohol-free options. They constantly have new events coming up, so be sure to check their social media regularly.
