Enjoy your meal in an illuminated passageway in the Old Pasadena business district.
Old Pasadena has launched the commUNITY campaign featuring a stunning, outdoor dining space aimed at promoting over 300 restaurants and businesses that call the historic neighborhood home. You can now support your favorite local coffee shop or eatery by enjoying your take-out at a socially distanced table under bright orange umbrellas and strings of lights. It’s the perfect way to take in the scenic historic alleyway while browsing all the delightful offerings of local businesses. It’s also open daily between 11:30am and 8pm, with continuous sanitizing.
The beautiful commUNITY Dining installation is set across three locations along Big Bang Theory Way and offers a little support to businesses that don’t have the luxury of adjacent parking lots or pavements to turn into street dining areas. Sunny afternoons can be spent enjoying fresh coffee and pastries from Copa Vida, while evenings turn into a dreamy haven with fairy lights turning the historic passageway into a romantic haven.
“The Old Pasadena community is a tight-knit, supportive one, encompassing business people who have learned the art of pivoting, adapting, and supporting their fellow merchants since the COVID-19 Safer at Home order was issued in March,” the Old Pasadena Management District said in the campaign announcement. “The continued support from residents and faithful patrons to the historic district is integral to weathering this unprecedented period. Every take-out and curbside order, gift card purchase, and in-person visit is critical to keeping doors open and livelihoods afloat.”
OPMD continues to look for ways to bolster, unify, and sustain the more than 300 businesses that call home to the 22-block historic district
