A new Olivia Rodrigo era is nigh! The pop star is teasing the release of a new album with a mural that recently popped up in Los Angeles.
A purple wall, Rodrigo’s signature color, has popped up on the corner of Melrose Ave and Sycamore Ave. While it originally read “OR3,” signifying Rodrigo’s third studio album, that was recently painted over with the color pink, and replaced with the word “love.” Multiple walls on the corner are painted purple, with smaller OR logos scattered across the area.
So what is the significance of “love”?
Is love the name of her new album? Some fans think so as Rodrigo’s previous two album names were also four-letter words (Sour and Guts). The theme would be a departure for Rodrigo, as her previous two albums were about heartbreak. Perhaps that’s why she changed the color from purple to pink.
The pink mural also matches her newly updated website. Rodrigo also has a hotline that fans can call, where a voice says, “Expect true clarity and renewal just after the pink moon… knowing that the best is yet to come.”
While no official announcement has been made just yet about new music or an L.A. pop-up, casual fans and stans alike are flocking to the wall to take photos.
We know where we’ll be this weekend!
