Hermann Bungalows will debut in Palm Springs next month, and it looks insane!
Pack your weekend bags, Angelenos! The desert oasis of Palm Springs and its thriving creative scene is about to become your favorite getaway spot (in case it wasn’t already). Amongst the faded glamour of the old resort buildings and the swaying palms, you’ll find plenty of new things happening each month. Now, you’ll have yet another lush accommodation option to keep you there. Next month, the latest luxury hotel, Hermann Bungalows, will open for reservations.
This exclusive Palm Springs property by designer and hotelier Steve Hermann will feature just 24 rooms. Guests will be surrounded by sleek, minimalist lines that seamlessly blend into the breathtaking landscapes, with modern interiors that pay homage to the iconic Mid-Century architecture of the town.
Hermann intended to blur the lines between the hotel and the surrounding nature, which might explain the gorgeous, 85-foot “zero-edge” pool that anchors the rooms. You could be poolside bathing, enjoying a cocktail at the outdoor bar with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains in the backdrop. Of the 24 rooms, there will be some that take luxury to the next level with private yards, jacuzzi tubs, and secondary outdoor showers.
The L.A.-based celebrity designer is well-known for reinventing the 1952 property L’ Horizon, built by legendary architect William F. Cody for Jack Wrather. While images have yet to be released, if L’ Horizon is anything to go by, you’ll be finding more reasons to escape to the desert in the coming months. Speaking of which, guests will also have access to the wildly indulgent L’Horizon Resort and Spa, along with its restaurant and other facilities.
The hotel will officially open on March 1 according to Travel + Leisure with a single night setting you back $1000.
Follow the hotel’s Instagram account for more details.
