It’s official! Los Angeles is home to the 2nd best pizzeria in the entire United States. Pizzeria Sei just won the prestigious 2nd place spot on the list of 50 Top Pizza USA 2025. And this isn’t the first time Pizzeria Sei ranked in the 50 Top Pizza USA guide.
Last year, the Japanese-Italian fusion pizzeria came in 8th place. They continue to rock the pizza world by jumping up six spots this year to claim 2nd place. (Who knows what next year will bring?) Plus, Pizzeria Sei continues to be the only pizzeria in L.A. County recognized by 50 Top Pizza USA.

The number one spot for 50 Top Pizza USA 2025 went to Una Pizza Napoletana in New York. But the state of California is winning big this year with San Francisco’s famed pizza-maker, Tony Gemignani, winning 3rd place with his Tony’s Pizza Napoletana. As if that wasn’t enough, two other Southern California pizzerias also made 50 Top Pizza’s annual U.S. list. Dana Point’s Truly Pizza came in 9th place, and Nardò pizza in Huntington Beach ranked 24th in the nation.

This prestigious 2nd place spot on 50 Top Pizza USA 2025 comes hot on the heels of another coveted win! The annual Best Pizza Awards ceremony recently concluded in Milan, and Pizzeria Sei earned the #44 spot on the list. The Best Pizza Awards honored William Joo for crafting Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizzas that are “technically refined and full of character.”

It was featured in The New York Times 2024 list of 22 best pizzerias in the U.S. It was ranked number 33 on the Top Pizza World 2024 list. It’s number 1 on Time Out’s list of Best Pizza in L.A. for 2025. And founder William Joo was awarded Pizza Maker of the Year 2025 – Ferrarelle Award by the 50 Top Pizza USA team.
