Mirror, mirror, on the wall, is Poppy’s the most magical club of all?
After walking through an enchanted garden entrance onto the pink-and-white checkered floors, expect nothing less than taxidermy and swinging storytellers. West Hollywood’s new nightclub feels like taking a trip to a fantasy world, thanks to the whimsical cocktails and poppy-draped walls. The decorative concept was inspired by streams of consciousness in a dream sequence and even gained some Gucci influences, thanks to a fashion billboard co-owner John Terzian came across. Though the art deco touches spark the imagination, the club’s vibe is intended to feel like a ‘typical’ Hollywood house party in an old mansion.
The club has a private room with its own bar, making it the perfect hideout for recent A-list visitors like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Jared Leto, and Jeremy Scott. In another room, deemed the Library Bar, over 2,500 books sit on the shelves among collected vintage objects. Even the bottle service is eye-catching, with bottles disguised as swans, magnums covered in roses and paper insects, or a mermaid presenting your drinks inside an oversized half-shell. If you plan on heading to this bar to live out your childhood dreams be sure to plan for a Thursday – the only night the club is open.
Location: Poppy, 755 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069. See it on Google maps.
