Looking for a fun way to get creative in Los Angeles this month? POT, a community-focused ceramics studio in L.A., has a full calendar of pottery workshops happening throughout August.
The studio offers classes for beginners, families, kids, and experienced makers. You can learn how to throw on the wheel, make your own mug, create a planter, or explore traditional ceramics from different cultures.

🎨Get creative at POT this weekend
There are several ways to get creative at POT over the weekend of August 15–16. On Saturday, August 15, you can join the Parent & Me class for a hands-on pottery session with your little one, or try the ASL Ceramic workshop.
Then on Sunday, August 16, there are two different times for Drop-In Wheel Throwing, a one-time, 2-hour wheel throwing class for beginners.
You can also drop by for POT SWAP, a free community clothing swap where you can trade pre-loved pieces and find something new to take home.

🎨Swap clothes at POT this weekend
POT’s August programming isn’t just about pottery.
This Sunday, August 16, the studio is hosting POT SWAP, a free clothing swap open to the entire community.
The idea is simple: bring what you can and take what you need. You can trade in clothes you no longer wear and find something new to take home, while keeping perfectly good pieces out of landfills.
You don’t even need to bring clothing to attend. The swap is open to all genders, and plus sizes are encouraged. Any leftover clothing will be donated to the LA LGBT Center.
