Qué Bárbaro just launched a tasty new menu in Downtown Los Angeles!
Meat lovers rejoice! Way up on Level 8, on top of the Moxy hotel, is the South American live-fire concept that isn’t afraid of flavor. Chef Ray Garcia, a proud Angeleno who previously launched Broken Spanish and BS Taqueria in 2015, opened Qué Bárbaro in 2023.
The format of the new menu, launched in June 2026, is designed to feel familial and abundant, an ode to Argentine social life.
“For me, asado has always been about more than what’s on the grill. It’s about the pace of the meal, the conversation, and the feeling of gathering around something elemental,” the chef shared in a statement. With the newest menu additions, Qué Bárbaro “wanted to create an experience that feels generous and alive, where the fire is constant, the table is always evolving, and guests can truly settle in and connect.”
The newest star of the menu is the El Asado, a smorgasbord of tender, buttery meats and veggies. Options for the feast include entraña (skirt steak), tira de asado (flanken short rib),
brochetas de hongos (grilled mushrooms), locally sourced chorizo (pork sausage), langosta (Maine lobster tail), pollo a la brasa (chicken thighs), morcilla (blood sausage), mollejas (sweetbreads), panceta (Kurobuta pork belly), and langostinos (Caledonian prawns).
It’s certainly a meat lover’s dream, and we’d highly recommend the entraña, chorizo, and the lobster tail. The langosta was seasoned so deliciously that we were dipping other meats and breads into its sauce.
Qué Bárbaro’s other new menu additions include:
- Remolacha
- Coliflor Frites
- Papa Hasselback
- The QB Burger
The QB Burger is actually an off-menu item that can only be requested at the bar. It comes with melted comté cheese, which is poured at the tableside. And be sure to check out their refreshed cocktails.
And just outside of Qué Bárbaro, you can walk out to the pool for a FIFA watch party or a dance.
