For the first time in NFL history, the Los Angeles Rams will host their NFL Draft operations from a fire station. Specifically, the Los Angeles Fire Department’s (LAFD) Air Operations base in Van Nuys. This move highlights both the team’s deep connection with the community and their ongoing commitment to honoring local first responders.
Honoring First Responders and Rebuilding Community
The choice of location is more than symbolic. After devastating wildfires swept through Southern California earlier this year, the Rams launched multiple recovery efforts. In collaboration with Zillow, the team will now renovate LAFD’s recreation space, turning it into a more livable and relaxing area for firefighters working 24-hour shifts.
A First-of-Its-Kind NFL Draft HQ for the Rams
Head Coach Sean McVay and GM Les Snead will lead the Rams’ 2025 NFL Draft from a customized command room within the LAFD facility.
Coaches, scouts, and media will be stationed in an adjacent hangar as they navigate the three-day event. This innovative setup brings football operations closer to the heart of LA’s emergency response efforts.
More Than Football: Supporting LA’s Heroes
All profits from special edition Rams x LAFD hats, hoodies, and shirts will support the LAFD Foundation and the American Red Cross. Merchandise is available through the official Rams store and SoFi Stadium.
This initiative is part of a larger campaign, including donations, events for displaced families, and supply drops for those affected by the wildfires.
The Rams NFL Draft Like Never Before
As the Rams prepare to make their first-round pick, their setting sends a powerful message. This isn’t just about building a football roster — it’s about giving back, staying grounded, and showing what it means to represent Los Angeles. Fans across the city can take pride in a team that’s as committed to the community as it is to the game.
