
The 31st annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards took take place last night on Sunday, February 23rd, and so many stars were honored. The annual ceremony recognizes outstanding performances in movie and prime time television, and it’s voted on by the over 130,000 global performers of SAG-AFTRA.
SAG Award Speeches
Demi Moore won Outstanding Lead Actress for the film, The Substance, and dedicated her speech to “that little girl who didn’t believe in herself.” She became overcome with emotion as she spoke and closed with, “The words are kind of beyond me. So I’m just going to have to say thank you.”
Timothée Chalamet won Outstanding Lead Actor for the film, A Complete Unknown. During his acceptance speech, Chalamet said, “I was not expecting this at all, truly… I poured everything I had into playing this incomparable artist.”
Jane Fonda was awarded this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Julia Louis-Dreyfus introduced her by calling her, “a woman whose life on and off the screen has simply been epic.”
