One of Los Angeles’ most anticipated cultural openings of 2026 is just around the corner. The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is set to open in Exposition Park this September, bringing an enormous collection of narrative art, cinema and storytelling to South Los Angeles.
And there’s already another reason to put the museum on your radar: Skywalker Grill, its signature restaurant, is preparing to welcome its first diners. And reservations are already filling up fast!
A first look at Skywalker Grill
Skywalker Grill will officially open on September 22, the same day as the Lucas Museum. The full-service restaurant sits atop the museum and will be open to both museum visitors and the general public, meaning you won’t need a museum ticket to dine there.
Inspired by the hospitality at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch, the restaurant will focus on contemporary California cuisine made with seasonal ingredients. The menu is expected to feature house-made pastas, seafood, premium meats, vibrant vegetables and refined desserts, alongside California wines and creative cocktails.
The restaurant also offers panoramic views of Los Angeles and Exposition Park, with an elevated but approachable atmosphere designed for everything from a leisurely lunch to sunset drinks and dinner.
Reservations are already hard to get
If you’re hoping to check out Skywalker Grill when it opens, you may want to plan ahead – way ahead! Reservations are already showing a waitlist extending into December, making the restaurant one of the newest hard-to-get tables in L.A.
With the Lucas Museum opening at the same time, Skywalker Grill is poised to become a destination in its own right.
