From now until November 20th, South Coast Botanic Garden is ringing in the spookiest of seasons with its ‘All Things Wicked & Wonderful’ event. You can see the creepiest crawlies and most ominous plantlife, learn how to grow a garden just for Halloween cocktails, enter your pooch in the Howl-o-ween Costume Contest, and much more!
As if we needed even more reasons to visit these lush grounds of unspoiled nature, South Coast Botanic Garden is proving that Halloween isn’t just for haunted houses and suburban neighborhoods.
‘All Things Wicked & Wonderful’ is a great chance to not only have a great and ghoulish time, but also to learn a thing or two. You’ll find out why the scariest looking plants are often misunderstood, and that when it comes to mean-looking tarantulas, there’s actually nothing to fear!
You might even run into a special visitor that can be seen every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the final spot on the Halloween Hunt: a witch! Clocked in black and a pointy hat, brave souls will have to meet her to find out whether she’s wicked or feeling generous. If you catch her in the right mood, she may even hand out some prizes…but you’ll have to find out for yourself!
